The gothic neighborhood is the historical center of the city by tradition. A walk inside can be started at the San Jaime Square, political center of Barcelona during the last 2000 years.
This square is the old roman forum. Today, at one side you can find the town house, parts of the building with a neoclassical  facade where build in the XIVth century. The most interesting part is the "Salón de Cent" build as a place of meeting of the councellors of the city.
